Switching configurations are expandable through the use of a shared analog bus.

Digital I/O Switch Card

The Astronics 1260-14 Digital I/O Switch Card provides 96 open collector channels in 12 groups of eight bits each. With the open collector version each independent group can utilize a separate internal or external pull-up supply up to 32VDC.

Each channel can be configured as an input or an output and individually controlled in the asynchronous mode, or be synchronous with other channels.

The 1260-14 has a two-wire, handshake mode available for the control of synchronous I/O transactions. Each handshake line can be programmed to either active high or active low to provide a flexible interface with user signals.

  • 96 TTL, CMOS, or open-collector input/output channels
  • Drives up to 32 V and sinks up to 200 mA per channel
  • Two-wire programmable handshaking
  • Synchronous, asynchronous, and mixed operating modes

High Density, 64-Channel Switch Card

The Astronics 1260-16A is a 64-channel, SPDT, high isolation; low crosstalk switch module designed for switching and routing sources such as AC and DC power supplies in automated test systems. The 1260-16A switches currents up to 6A, AC or DC, and voltages up to 110VDC or 250VAC.

The Astronics 1260-17 is an 80-channel, Form C (SPDT) switch module offering general purpose switching and external device actuation. Each channel may be configured individually, or several channels may be linked to configure custom networks. The 1260-17 permits switching up to 1 amp and 250V DC or VACrms per channel.

The Astronics 1260-50C/D is ideal for switching wideband signals up to 200 MHz. The 1260-50C consists of eight 1x4 50 ohm multiplexers, and the 1260-50D consists of 16 1x4 50 ohm multiplexers.

The Astronics 1260-51 is ideal for high performance RF switching. The 1260-51 consists of six 2x6 matrices that may be combined into three 2x12 or one 2x36 matrix. The module automatically configures interconnection relays to achieve the path desired.

The Astronics 1260-38T brings a combination of density, versatility, expandability, and high signal integrity, making it ideal for construction of large switching systems. This module is user-configurable using inter-connecting relays as sixteen 1x8 muxes to a 1x128 mux under program control.

Special shielding, design, and added front panel "guard" grounds increase the isolation and lower the crosstalk.

1260-20 Power C-Size VXI Switch CardPower Switch Module

The Astronics 1260-20 provides high-current switching of AC line power, DC power supplies and AC or DC current sources. Power switch networks may be configured from 20 independent DPST switches. Up to 8A at 250 VACrms or 5A at 48 VDC  switches through each two-wire channel.

The Astronics 1260-22 is a 40-channel, SPST, high-power switch module designed for switching and routing high-current sources such as AC and DC power supplies in automated test systems. The 1260-22 switches currents up to 20A, AC or DC, and voltages up to 250VDC or 250VAC. Maximum power handling is 600WDC or 4800VA per channel.
